Dhriti Satya gained her post-graduation degree in International horticulture (major in Plant Genetics) from Leibniz University Hanover, Germany and graduation (B. Tech) in Biotechnology from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, India. Her R&D career started at Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) - National Institute of Plant Biotechnology (NIPB), New Delhi, India. Also, she co-founded AgriBioTechX to serve farmers and research scholars.
With a background in Biotechnology and Plant Genetics, Dhriti is interested in applied research. Her expertise lies in interdisciplinary research to develop nutrient rich, climate-smart seeds for a sustainable future. Her particular research focus is in the plant genomic study for developing seed varieties with the salinity and drought stress tolerance.
She is currently working as a Senior Research Fellow with the government of India, and holds a 'returning expert' position at GIZ/CIM for the same. Also, she is a co-founder of an agriculture consultancy, AgriBiotechX.
